Room 5 learnt how to paint a sunrise. It was not easy trying to blend the colours. We then cut out silhouettes of soldiers. Here are some of the finished ones.
Welcome to Room 5's blog for 2018. We are an energetic Year 5 class and our teacher is Miss Robertson. We are looking forward to working together and learning lots of exciting and new things this year! Check our blog regularly to see what we have been up to. We would love to read your comments.

Anzac biscuits
After learning about ANZAC during the week, Room 5 made ANZAC biscuits. Women made these biscuits and sent them to the soldiers at war on big navy ships. These are special biscuits because they are tasty and can last for a long time.
Click here for the ANZAC biscuit recipe, and to find out what Room 5 kids thought about them.

Miss R goes to Hogwarts
On Friday and Saturday last week, Miss R attended a conference in Christchurch on Positive Education. It was held at Christs College. It was a big old school and Miss R felt like she was Harry Potter. Here are some pictures.
